Quick post here.. gtg out soon
it's been abt 5 days since I POP-ed.. 2 days were spent at UNi Open hses (zzzzz in my opinion), and 3 days were spent slacking!
cant help but rant a little.. why must the uni talks be almost completely preoccupied with what they've achieved, how they trump other Unis, etcetc..? Surely they cldve spent less thime on what they did and their rankings, and more on what they can do for us. Granted, they HAVE to play to their strengths to let people know theirs is a pretty damn good institute for higher learning, but they shouldnt be skimpy on the student life either -- and by student life, i'd prefer to know about that inside the classroom. I mean student life outside the classroom would be pretty standard, no? Active lifestyles to offer with tons of CCAs for your picking, friendy lecturers, blahblahblah.. You'd hear that everywhere.
But no... very little details given on what the course actually does. If I rmb correctly, one of the faculties devoted 1 out of 30~40 slides just on its courses =.= and they didnt really talk about what they'd be doing for those courses.
Ah well, to be fair, some talks were pretty well structured la.. like the NIE talk, for one.
Anyway! Ytd I was really nice, i daresay.. c was lazy to go eat so I went down to her office to pei her fr lunch (albeit a bit late in the day, but lets ignore that.. haha). Anw I din really have much to do at home la, so left e hse immediately aft lunch.
Aft tt I went Vivo with the s31 dudes -- Bucky, hari, jiahao, sufiyan --at 4 (literally dudes only.. rachel only came at 7 plus). At first they wanted to watch watchmen. Wanted to in the sense that thr wasnt anything else nice to watch that wasnt already watched. so i kinda talked them out of blowing $8 like that.. Acty I feel a lil bad, cos yeah, mb someone wanted to watch it but wasnt as vocal. Ah well.. So we hung out at Starbucks instead. c reminded me only aft we bought drinks tt coffeebean had cakes at 1/2 price aft 5. Wasted.. haha.. Just chatted about the stuff we'd been doing, Uni admissions, etcetcetec.. Quite a helpful talk, I must say =) Thanks guys!
Had to leave soon aft rach and jinghui came over tho, cos sth cropped up.. haha.. oh well, cya guys ard again soon!
